the la-z-boy 500 Lyrics

let's sing a song about smokin flames that burnt down our lazy yesterdays
let's pretend this poverty is crime and sit on our front porches like we do it all the time
go!
out on these mean streets
i wash my shoes while they take me on my way
and i step to the beat everywhere i go
all the televisions screaming out these windows

and we're just waiting for the end
when the bell tolls, i'll be fine
they say that livin is a lot like dieing
when the bell tolls, i'll be fine
they say that livin is a lot like dieing
a lot like dieing
oh-oh oh-ohhhh
oh-oh oh-ohhhh
ohh

all the vultures are circling overhead
nobodys cryin cause we're all already dead
i sold my days off, now i sit around like every other worthless face livin in this town

this is the only chance we have
when the bell tolls, i'll be fine
they say that livin is a lot like dieing
when the bell tolls, i'll be fine
they say that livin is a lot like dieing
a lot like dieing
oh-oh oh-ohhhh
oh-oh oh-ohhhh
ohh

your jesus he cannot save you this time
your precious savior is laughin while you die

when the bell tolls, i'll be fine
they say that livin is a lot like dieing
when the bell tolls, i'll be fine
they say that livin is a lot like dieing

when the bell tolls, i'll be fine
they say that livin is a lot like dieing
your jesus aint ganna save you this time
your precious savior is laughin
your precious savior is laughin
your precious saviour is laughin
laughin while we die
laughin while we die
laughin while we die

this song is pretty good sounding, i don't really care for the lyrics that much- but i honestly like their ep stuff a lot more.

Anyone else think this tune is kinda countryish? Reminds me a lot of the new country/punk songs from None More Black, "Who Crosses State Lines..." and "10 Ton Jiggawatts." Really cool.

This songs all about poverty, and how the only person that can help you in this life is yourself.

i think its about how we live in a shell, complacent and almost complacent. great song. kinda sounds like none more black. and that melody before the clapping part in the bridge is beautiful. i usually listen to harder punk rock, but i bought the take action comp, and there were only 4 songs i liked including this.

I think this song is about coming to grips with the concept of death, but also realizing that there's so heaven or hell.

I think this song is about the decline on society brought on by the apathetic acts of everyone you see. Its about inaction at the wrong time.

That's what I was thinking too.

Although I really don't like it that way so much because its kind of saying no ones going to change so why should I. Since eveveryone else has given up I will too kind of thing.
