You are the Judas of the Cheerleading Squad Lyrics

Find the bolt fused in the bone
Grinding, pulling
All this machinery was never gonna let you go
Binding, owning
Break to heal and heal he will
Fragile growing
He learned to hate, he learned to kill
And now he'll learn to feel
He'll learn to heal

Take these wings of iron
Off my back, out of my heart
Oh, forged in the fire and the fire, it burns in me
Oh, forged in the fire and the fire, it burns in me

Get out your ghosts
Bet you had it coming
Oh, and teach them to sing
Bet you had it coming
Oh, fire is burning you clean
Bet you had it coming
And when it rains
Bet you had it coming
Live in the stream
Bet you had it coming
Every drop that comes down from above
Washes you clean
Bet you had it coming

Take these wings of iron
Off my back, out of my heart
Oh, forged in the fire and the fire, it burns in me

I've slept in the belly of the beast
(Take these wings of iron
Off my back, out of my heart)
Now I'll sleep under your wings
(Oh, forged in the fire and the fire, it burns in me)
Oh, forged in the fire and the fire, it burns in me

I've slept in the belly of the beast
(Take these wings of iron
Off my back, out of my heart)
Now I'll sleep under your wings
I'm forged in the fire and the fire, it burns in me

I've slept in the belly of the beast
(Take these wings of iron
Off my back, out of my heart)
Now I'll sleep under your wings
I'm forged in the fire and the fire, it burns in me

I am disappointed that know one has commented on this song yet. but I an also proud to be the first to share my opinion on it. Personally I love House of Heroes and everything they stand for. I like their tone and their way of digging into our souls. I think this song is talking about finding freedom, finding something to believe in, finding healing. "Find the bolt fused in the bone." I think explains the way we get stuck in things in the material and fake way of life. I think "The cheerleading squad" must represent this world and it material fakeness. I think that he is singing about how he betrayed the "squad" and forged himself in the "fire". Now, "fire" that is a question what does fire mean? I know there is controversy over the fact. But I believe the fire stands for freedom in Christ. Not "religion" but knowing that someone is there for you and cares about you even when we screw up. With this freedom we "learn to heal." The (wings of Iron) ah, now what could that mean? Well, I have come to believe that each one of us has something that we are holding on to. A burden that we are constantly carrying around on our backs and in our hearts. When we forge ourselves in the fire God will lighten our load and remove our wings of iron all we have to do is ask. "We have slept in the belly of a beast" done things we wish we hadn't, been places that we want to forget. Everything we have done will be "burned clean, drops from above wash us clean." Sometimes we don't understand what is happening in our lives or why we meet certain people. But God knows the big picture. So when something we think is bad happens in our lives God might use it for better. He knows what is "coming." So everyone I am forged in the fire and it is burning in me what about you????

i was super confused by this song and i only had guesses as to what it meant. but i think swimingforward is completely right about the meaning.

i think that in the first verse the machinary represents sin and how it has such a strong hold on a person (All this machinery was never gonna let you go) and its also talking about how you cant be free from your sin until you come to that place where you feel broken (Break to heal and heal he will) and once you come to that place you can begin healing and growing (Fragile growing...And now he'll learn to feel He'll learn to heal).

when it talks about your ghosts and how you should teach them to sing i think it means that the ghosts are the bad things that you keep inside of you and that haunt you, but you should teach them to sing, or learn to talk about them with other people and then you'll be from them.
