Tell me Heather
Why do you never answer the phone?
When it rings, does it sing "caller unknown"?
Telling you to run away and hide
To early in the day for talking
I got a feeling you're busy painting
Children in death and decay
Heather, do you ever answer the phone?
Is it me, or does it seem you left it at home
Telling me you went to get provisions
Maybe off to find new scissors
Maybe you're busy taking pictures
Up in the cemetery
Oh ohoh
Oh ohoh
Telling you to run away and hide
To early in the day for talking
I got a feeling you're busy painting
Children in death and decay
Maybe you went to get provisions
Or off to find new scissors
Maybe you're busy taking pictures
Up in the cemetery
Why do you never answer the phone?
When it rings, does it sing "caller unknown"?
Telling you to run away and hide
To early in the day for talking
I got a feeling you're busy painting
Children in death and decay
Is it me, or does it seem you left it at home
Telling me you went to get provisions
Maybe off to find new scissors
Maybe you're busy taking pictures
Up in the cemetery
Oh ohoh
To early in the day for talking
I got a feeling you're busy painting
Children in death and decay
Maybe you went to get provisions
Or off to find new scissors
Maybe you're busy taking pictures
Up in the cemetery

Is it just me or do some of the guitar parts sound like Interpol's "Obstacle 1"?

erm, sentimentalfool. I didnt think they were funny, I think they're pretty awesome actually, i appreciate that I'm biased as i love anything skiba writes or sings but seriously. where are your lyrics to read? "up in the cemetary" gets me everytime:) and i think the 1st comments were spot on with the theme of the song.
It's a song about the girl who designs all of Alkaline Trio's shirts and designs. She also did "vocals" in Sadie.
This is about Heath Han who designs all the Alkaline Trio merch.
*heather
hahahahahahaha... this song is hilarious. the lyrics for this album are so horribly bad and funny.
This song is very deep. I love how Skiba's lyrics may seem a bit comical, yet cynical at face value, but when you truly think about it they are deep, metaphoric, and sad. It took my ex-girlfriend dumping me recently for me to see "Heather" more clearly. When Skiba says "I've got a feeling you're busy painting children in death and decay, Maybe you went to get provisions, Or off to find new scissors, Maybe you're busy taking pictures up in the cemetary.", he's saying that Heather feels that doing all of those things are more important and/or interesting than talking to him. Now that's deep. ...And very sad.
