Calm Before the Storm (Evening Out With Your Girlfriend version) Lyrics
I sat outside my front window...this story's going somewhere:
"He's well hung," and I am hanging up.
Well there's a song on the radio that says:
"Let's get this party started."
So let's get this party started.
What you do on your own time's just fine.
My imagination's much worse, I just never want to know.
What meant the world imploded, faded and demoted
All my oxygen to product gas and suffocated my last chance
You said, between your smiles and regrets: "Don't say it's over."
Dead and gone. Dead and gone.
Calm before the storm set it off, and the sun burnt out tonight.
A reception less than warm set it off, and the sun burnt out tonight.
The next time the phone can wring my neck it gets no answer
and of the time that I've spent telling it my roots
I'm shaking in my boots
But still it looks at me like an old friend I've betrayed
the darkside of the doormat is the one your shoes have frayed
What you do on your own time's just fine.
My imagination's much worse, I just never want to know.
What meant the world imploded, inflated then demoted
All my oxygen to product gas and suffocated my last chance.
You said, between your smiles and regrets: "Don't say it's over."
Dead and gone. Dead and gone.
Calm before the storm set it off, and the sun burnt out tonight.
A reception less than warm set it off, and the sun burnt out tonight.

Sun burnt out

i love this song. shame i'm too embarrassed to have them on my ipod now
ok so this song starts out the same but has a different ending... any ways i like patrick singing this song alot! how ever i really like this version too. pete does a very good job of singing it. its kinda cool to here the part where both pete and patrick sing in both this version and the take this to your grave version are almost like the same sounding.
WOAH! PETE SINGS THIS SONG??! DOES PETE SING THIS WHOLE ALBUM?!?!?! i think im going to go shoot myself for not noticing that now.
Pete says Patrick sang it... "The next time, the phone can ring my neck"... Lol..
idk im confussed now i know patrick sings the one on TTTYG but for AEOWYGF i think it might be both? im not so sure though cause my comp wont let me listen to the EOWYG one and i didnt have enough money on me to buy it from borders but from the 30 sec intro it sounded alot more like pete? idk though i could be wrong

i'm pretty sure it's pete, but i could be wrong too. idk.
NO, sorry, Patrick does lead vocals on this as he always has.
gosh there are 2 versions that explains a lot!! well anyway... i dont know what this song is about... Ive got the other version but this one sounds a LOT more interesting!!
This song is typical old fall out boy. It makes me smile because I almost forgot this stuff still exists. And it's pure. No expectatopm-type-pure.
It's about a failed relationship, her cheating, and the girl wanting him back. That's all. Read the lyrics.
