Clips Comprehend Lyrics
Basking briefly in this
overeating indulgence of insides
But I fear he’s lower than before
Though he's stronger than he looks
He’s made of feathers mixed with oil and small servings of hands and feet
so high
"How do they flutter so damn high?"
Now begin the search that hails you home
Desperate times make for desperate people
overeating indulgence of insides
But I fear he’s lower than before
Though he's stronger than he looks
He’s made of feathers mixed with oil and small servings of hands and feet
"How do they flutter so damn high?"
Desperate times make for desperate people

Again, first EP (Under Waves of the Brown Coat) which was only released online to the best of my knowledge. This should sound familiar to Kill Me. The King because it is almost the same. I'm not sure if this is true but someone told me this EP was based on the movie The Royal Tenenbaums. i don't know if that has anything to do with it or not though because i have yet to have seen it.
To me, and probably to me only, this song reminds of the mythological story of Icarus.
I like this version better than Kill Me. The King. Gourleys voice blows me away. If you hear this song then listen to their new cd, you'll be amazed at how much they've grown.
This is the only song that could fill my head for three months while wondering the numerous Gypsy villages of Spain. It has both staying power, and, evidently, protective powers. Ah, it's the sound of a tap shoe wearing presumptuous cloud inviting itself into a a cask of 22 year old scotch. This song makes that noise.
