Feature Film Lyrics
Fade in
the whirl of the machine
The flickering of light
across the silver screen
we sank
like pennies in a well
speechless in our scenes
until the curtain fell
and as I fall asleep I tell myself
It might be gone
when we wake up tomorrow
But tonight, we're stars
in the film that everybody saw
our hands like continents collide
space between our seas
we guess the great divine
we saved our pennies for the shows
the gallery of ghosts
the everworldly glow
and I don't want to sleep because I know
it might be gone
when we wake up tomorrow
but tonight, we're stars
in the film that everybody saw
hanging from a plane we rise
in the burning car we flow
But you're the one I always loved
Most of all
but tonight, we're stars
in the film that everybody saw
the whirl of the machine
The flickering of light
across the silver screen
like pennies in a well
speechless in our scenes
until the curtain fell
when we wake up tomorrow
But tonight, we're stars
in the film that everybody saw
space between our seas
we guess the great divine
the gallery of ghosts
the everworldly glow
when we wake up tomorrow
but tonight, we're stars
in the film that everybody saw
in the burning car we flow
But you're the one I always loved
Most of all
in the film that everybody saw

I think it is about a love so mesmerizing that it feels like the kind of love that only exists in the movies, and realizing that the feelings could and probably will be gone sooner or later.
This is one of the most refreshing artists I’ve heard in years and I hope to hear much more from them in the future :)
