Oh, shit (oh, shit, oh, shit)
Oh, shit (oh, shit, oh, shit)
Oh, shit (oh, shit, oh, shit)
Are you ready for this?
Oh, shit, oh, shit, oh, shit
Oh
It's me
Fergie
The Pen!
Polow
(Fergie, Ferg, what's up baby?)

When I come to the club, step aside (oh shit)
Part the seas, don't be having me in the line (oh shit)
VIP, 'cause you know I gotta shine (oh shit)
I'm Fergie Ferg, and me love you long time (oh shit)

All my girls get down on the floor (oh shit)
Back to back, drop it down real low (oh shit)
I'm such a lady, but I'm dancing like a hoe (oh shit)
'Cause you know I don't give a fuck, so here we go (oh shit)

How come every time you come around
My London, London Bridge wanna go down, like
London, London, London
Wanna go down like
London, London, London
Be going down like

How come every time you come around
My London, London Bridge wanna go down, like
London, London, London
Wanna go down like
London, London, London
Be going down like

Drinks start pouring
And my speech start slurring
Everybody start looking real good

That Grey Goose got your girl feeling loose
Now I'm wishing that I didn't wear these shoes (I hate heels)
It's like every time I get up on the dude
Paparazzi put my business in the news
And I'm like, get up out my face
Before I turn around and spray your ass with mace
My lips make you wanna have a taste
You got that, I got the bass

How come every time you come around
My London, London Bridge wanna go down, like
London, London, London
Wanna go down like
London, London, London
Be going down like
How come every time you come around
My London, London Bridge wanna go down, like
London, London, London
Wanna go down like
London, London, London
Be going down like

Aah, da, da, da, da, do, do, do, do
Me like a bullet type, you know they coming right
Fergie like 'em long time, my girls support 'em, right?
Aah, da, da, da, da, do, do, do, do
Me like a bullet type, you know they coming right
Fergie like 'em long time, my girls support 'em, right?

"London Bridge" is clearly an anti-war song and a deliberate criticism of the current administration's foreign policy. However, it also attacks those politicians who say they are opposed to the war for not doing more about it, or for voting for it in the first place.

In the first verse, Fergie uses herself in the club as a metaphor for how the United States has gone about building a democracy in Iraq. Much like Fergie describes herself, America has inaccurate and borderline racist impressions of people from other countries ("Me love you long time"); the US also seems to think it is better than every other country ("When I come to the club, step aside.")

The US's intentions are revealed towards the end of the verse, where Fergie proclaims that she "don't give a fuck," which is how she seems to say the administration feels about the lives lost.

The chorus shifts from a metaphor to Fergie's point of view of the situation. A "London bridge" is reference to Fergie's previously high opinion of the United States, which is now "going down" everytime she hears more bad news from the forefront.

Later, Fergie calls the President out directly, saying "get up out of my face ... 'fore I spray your ass with mace." Such a painful and intelligently worded argument in such a popular song could affect the president in the polls. It will be interesting to see how that turns out.

Kudos to Fergie for improving her song writing skills since "My Humps," which addressed the origins of existentialism and realism rather poorly.

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
