Embrace the World Lyrics

I sit on a rock
Cannot be touched by struggle & confusion
I reclaim my space inside my structure
Look at this point
All is about nothing, everything comes near
The remotest parts of the world

by silence
We can dissolve disruptive vibrations
I have to try
Gaïa's alive for good
Under my feet the forest
Over me the largest
It's roundness I feel
Lifelong misery
How do we get to Avalon?
There is a bridge beyond
Indestructible the earth is a temple

I cannot see what is wrong and
All gods are one

I close my eyes
I'm all around, I feel so present
Embracing it's vastness I hold
Facing the world
I become a part of it
I'm not alone anymore

I embrace the world

I feel as if this song is talking about our (lost)bond to the land. How we think (what we think) is everything in fact is nothing:

"I sit on a rock, cannot be touched by struggle and confusion, I reclaim my space inside my structure". Alone on his rock, far from everything, he once again find his place in the world.

"look at this point all is about nothing, everything comes near the remotest parts of the world" All we know is actually nothing, everything makes sense in the remotest parts of the world.

"by silence we can dissolve disruptive vibrations I have to try Gaïa's alive for good under my feet the forest over me the largest It's roundness I feel Lifelong misery How do we get to Avalon? There is a bridge beyond indestructible the earth is a temple" Silently, maybe in concentration, he lets goes of his worries, he feels Gaïa(Gaea, Goddess of earth). Beneath him the earth, above him the sky, he feels its immenseness. Life is misery, how can he reach Avalon(The mystical island), through a bridge(maybe meditation?), the Earth is sacred.

"I cannot see what is wrong and All gods are one

I close my eyes I'm all around, I feel so present embracing it's vastness I hold facing the world I become a part of it I'm not alone anymore

I embrace the world"

He becomes part of it all, his mind, him and the Earth are all one.

Best song in "The Link", perfectly written. Fell in love with this song.

Probaly the only good song on The Link, and when it says "all is about nothing" i think it actually says "war is about nothing"

@SOADfan805 Only good song? Are you serious?

@xSociety I posted this comment 5 years ago, I was 14 at the time. I had only listen to the album a few times and I was running off first impressions. I enjoy the full album now, gojira is still an all time favorite of mine!
