Zombies Ate My Neighbors Lyrics
So hey man, check this out, downtown's a riot and something's spreadin through the crowd. Try channel 9, I'm pretty sure they're headed straight for this part of town. I can't be certain, but I swear I hear them just outside. There's no way that this is real, so COUNT ME IN.
So grab something sharp, find some cover, kill the lights and nail the back door shut. This isn't funny any more, oh no, THIS MEANS WAR. Don't take this the wrong way, but I'd much rather choke and die than sit alone and fall without a fight.
So call the neighbor kids with trash can lids and buckets on their heads. Cause I'm telling you, we're gonna need a little help tonight...
And there she was, glaring, through olive eyes and chalk white skin. I want you to know that I won't be holding back tonight. She stole my heart. I'll be taking hers with a lawn dart now. But look at the bright side, it's not like she had one there to start...
And something tells me, it's gonna be a long night...

hooray finally a song about killing the dead it makes me so happy :)
"Something tells me it's gonna be a long night..." I lol'd.
The most creative break-up song I have ever heard!
haha this song is soo catchy.
it's obviously about zombies attacking a town and everyone is gonna go to war with them.
The part in the middle "and there she was glaring..." talks about one of the zombies, that i'm assuming he once fell in love with, but since she's a zombie, he can kill her. "...i wont be holding back tonight"
I think this song is interesting though, because throughout the whole song, it never mentions anything about zombies, and refers to them as "they're" and "them". The only givaway is the title. The cool part is, if they changed the title to "vampires ate..." or "aliens ate..." then it could change the whole story.
I love this song. i heard on the radio that this song was based of an old NES game called the same thing.
It was actually a Super NES game, search it on wikipedia.

Ok so after hearing them come up in Stanley Lake and do plenty of interviews on it; the song is about a love gone phsyco with her being the zombie later referred to as her never having a heart anyways.
So it was a song to make him feel better after she apparently just went nuclear. I think I know what they mean >:(
