Anyways, I think this song is about dedicating your life to someone, no matter how much it will harm you. You could say that it goes along with what Jerome Dillon himself said this song was about: making simple mistakes that will prevent you from living life to the fullest.
Either way, this song is amazing. The record is amazing. Claudia Sarne and Jerome are like, the most unstoppable duo ever.
First off, nearLY is an amazing band. They deserve so much more popularity than they have. The start of the band is amazing, considering most of the inspiration was from a reccuring dream Jerome had.
Anyways, this song is actually about the girl Mary Vincent. She was hitchiking I believe and made the mistake of riding with someone who cut off her arms and hands. She also got raped. I know how annoying that must sound, but that's what it says on the site itself. It does definitely fit the description maybelline posted above: "making simple mistakes that will prevent you from living life to the fullest."
I love this song...I think it's my favorite nearLY song. The quiet piano version is beautiful too. It gives you so many emotions, you don't even know what it is you're feeling. To me, at least.
