amazing song! he wasn't expecting to fall so hard for someone "i should've braced myself" but he has no regrets about doing so...even with the outcome of their situation (she is obviously taken by someone else) "but what good would that have been...i would have missed out on feeling". now he has to fight to keep his emotions to himself, something in which he can do in stride...but he still wants her to know that he will always have feelings for her "i'm right here for you...forever...on these cold nights". in his heart, he knows that the other person does not and cannot love her the way that he already does, and he is confident that she will return to him because he loves her more "does he hold you...and does he need you like i do...when you finally find yourself”. additionally, he knows that it will be hard for her to break down her walls when she realizes this, “will you have the strength to say, i feel you and god i need you". but until then, he's going to have to wait....forever.

oh the beuty of love and love lost! gawd, that sounds cheesy. wateva. anyway, i think this is the best socialburn song, except for lovehate, which is great, but this song is so great because it doesnt show the disney love, with birds flying everywhere, and where the world is completely right. this song shows the side of love you dont see, but the kind thats sits in the back of your head like a lie untill you know you just HAVE to be with that person...

This song is about a man, who has been hurt bad, but loves the girl. Even though inside he feels angry and alone, and chooses to keep the emotions to himself, and try to make things work. This song has nothing to do with a girl who is taken, is has to do with a girl who has cheated on him. Good long, I agree with Miss Lithium, it shows the party of love that isn't all fairytale, the hard part of love.
