Fantastic song...my guess it's about wanting to help a girl who has drug addiction (wearing long sleeves to cover up needle marks or scars) and other issues...in the end, she has to "wake up" and get her life together...arguably the best song on the album.
I hate this song so much. It's good and all. Just makes me so angry. Sara should just go kill herself, and stop wasting everyones time! And thats kinda how I feel. The Sara I know should just go kill herself and stop bitching. Damn this song makes me angry.
Um, to "Echo Reborn", I just wanna say...maybe the Sara you know is suffering from depression, just like the girl in the song maybe? And if she is, then it's not her fault she feels like that, it's the chemicals in her brain that are causing her to be like that, and she needs help and medication...Just saying...Sorry, I know it's none of my business, but I thought I should just say that.
Haven't heard this song yet, but I have to now, because my name is Sara. Though it's strange that I'm this weird optimistic happy-go-lucky person and this song sounds like Sara is so...so...so depressed.
This song seems to be about trying to help a depressed girl. The lyrics about "as long as you wear long sleeves" I think is that she has cut marks on her arms from a suicide attempt. She just spirals down because she's too depressed to help herself, but Jeff wants to help her.
