Two Inches From A Main Artery Lyrics
Broken glass is the reason she'll remember my face now she is imprisoned in a land not for the weakened heart a land filled with miles of fire and the lamb dine on the priest you can't save her 62 reasons to remember my face this is my idea of beauty laid to rest beneath a blanket of leaves waiting for an angel to come save her from this burning paradise an indelicate display of lacerations across her body this is my idea of beauty you cant' save her

TTEOTD seems to be into that whole schizo serial killer love for their victims, this song seems to me to be no less than that. "This is my idea of beauty, and you can't save her."
story tellings are all fine and dandy but the stories that stay will have a moral of sorts, or this is what our past has dictated. so, with this in my mind, if i decide to like, or love, a song or band i can usually distort and bastardize it or them to extract some brand of commentary. so weather it lie in the intentions of the lyricist, this will be my spiel on the content above: to me its a song of the faithful and the aggressor likes, or loves, a girl only to find that her faith in her lord dictates her every choice by its law. and this for him is a deciding factor in his relationship with said "girl", so he attempts to break her faith with brutal truth. her faith does break but it has been the steady and endurring ground on witch she based her entire life and mind unto now. so she now knows the truth but would have preferred her ignorance with the choice given. in the end she can’t look at her messenger any longer remembering what he did to her life. he had raped her of its former meaning, and she ends up leaving him in a reverent form of spite.
for so little words i realize this might be allot to extract but it helps me sleep at night thinking that my music has meaning. sic song Love it all
this is my take on it:
this song sounds like its more of a personal meaning than your stereotypical serial killer meaning. I saw these guys the other night and thier (new) vocalist said the song is about a girl someone used to care about(aka the ex vocalists ex girlfriend)
so i think its about this girl almost accidentally killing herself by cutting or something of that nature. the title may be some kind of lashing out saying she never had the balls to flat out kill herself, so she just cut multiple times (maybe 62?).
it also mentions her going to Hell(maybe suggesting she died by either cutting or later down the road for something else).
i dunno, makes sense to me
This song is obviously about Star Wars. It describes Senator Padme Amidala's destiny to die in childbirth.
i get where you are coming from with the 62 times she cut herself, but i think it could also so mean the number of times he beat her because it says 62 reasons to remember my face. or he may have cut her himself. i dont know. just my thoughts.
The old singer for TTEOTD is much better than the new one on malice. Oh and the song I'm with fighter268
I know this is a matter of taste and all but....no. Nate is a beast. He may only do the deep growls and whatnot...but at least he didn't need distortion like Anthony did.

Anthony had nowhere near the power that Nate had. It's just a shame they can't hold onto ANY of their vocalists. Onto their 3rd freakin' one.

This is the first song I've heard from them so it will always be awesome...But Nate came along and just raped my expectations for this band. Then he left. :(
