And the Sentence Trails Off Lyrics
Hold diamonds to the sun.
Sparkling misconception.
Statement:
"We're the ones that aren't afraid to die." Ashes.
After this battle we laugh at the thought of innocence.
"Remorse!" I scream for.
Pride roses platinum gold rubies.
A transparent portrait.
The grave widens and the masses are mindlessly marching to the necropolis. There is no mystery here.
Nothing to grasp but adjacent bodies. The cessation movement is synchronized. Emotional poorness cannot be hidden by ivory.
We can't let this come between us.
Here I lie myself down.
I surrender. At what i've done,
i'm ashamed.
On this raised platform I compose the memoir of unworthiness.
Drunken with the spirits of Godlessness. Spirits of doom. Devil jaws on your throat. Onward period die.
Emeralds hold no hope. [Hope yeah]

We're the ones that aren't afraid to die love that line i think in that line he is referring to christians...good song
I think chatoalan24 has de-constructed it pretty well there, here's a few other points people may find interesting: The line "The grave widens and the masses are mindlessly marching to the necropolis." I believe is a clear biblical reference to Matthew 7:13-14.
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
It speaks of how it is easy and that the majority of people 'go with the flow' rather than following the more difficult path of Christ.

This song, even if you cant see at first, are very scriptual. "We can't let this come between us. Here I lie myself down. I surrender. At what i've done, i'm ashamed. " basically, hes admitting his sins to the Lord.
Most, if not all of their songs are based on their faith in the Lord.

im just here supporting this band cuz it is my ultimate favorite but i read most of these comments other people left and they all make sense so combined i know what the song is generally about.
This song is basicly the whole bands point, "rubies hold no hope", just anti-materialism.
The part where he screams "Pride Roses, Platinum gold rubies" is the best part in the song. This song is absolutely amazing.
Yep...thats my favourite part too.
