Are You Listening? Lyrics
You said you'd make a change
Instead you let the days
Just pass you by
All this time, wasted time
Why did you even try
And if it falls apart
At least I took a chance
Are you listening
I'm sorry
You're not the one
But I'm still here
I'm sorry
Your day has come
You think of no one else
Your talk is cheap
You've got nothing good to say
All your words, empty words
I hear them everyday
And if it falls apart
At least I took a chance
Are you listening
I'm sorry
You're not the one
But I'm still here
I'm sorry
Your day has come
Instead you let the days
Just pass you by
All this time, wasted time
Why did you even try
At least I took a chance
Are you listening
I'm sorry
You're not the one
But I'm still here
I'm sorry
Your day has come
Your talk is cheap
You've got nothing good to say
All your words, empty words
I hear them everyday
At least I took a chance
Are you listening
I'm sorry
You're not the one
But I'm still here
I'm sorry
Your day has come

shit, this dude screams so great! why has no one commented anything???!!! i believe the song talks about a relationship ending, it's him saying "sorry, but this is it. we are over"
yeah, its a fucking kickass song, but it certaintly isn't about a romantic relationship. its about someone who said they would stand up and fight for change but then they wasted time and broke their word. he's saying he's finished with dealing with them. he's seen through their falsehood. and that groupshout in the chorus is so tight. i was screaming it back at the stereo!!!
yes, another voice telling us not to settle, it's not over yet fight for something more!
In my opinion its about someone, who not even try to change somethink. He only moans about his life and try to change the other people. He never assumes the responsibility for himself or anythink or anyone else. He doesnt keep his word. But he never considers, that anythink could be his own fould, not even a little bit. The title of the song "Are you listening" wants the person to realize this. He has to change his attitude.
I saw Ignite playing this song live last summer. Zoli dedicated this song to Obama if I remember it correctly. Anyway, awesome song.
