Rose tinted view
And satellites that
Compromise the truth
But I wanted more
With the cuts and the bruises
Touch my face
A hopeless embrace
Faith
It drives me away
But it turns me on
Like a stranger's love
It rockets through the universe
It fuels the lies and feeds the curse
And leads me to be
Glorious
I need to believe
But I still want more
With the cuts and the bruises
Don't close the door
On what you adore
And faith
It drives me away
But it turns me on
Like a stranger's love
It rockets through the universe
It fuels the lies and feeds the curse
And we too could be
Glorious
And satellites that
Compromise the truth
With the cuts and the bruises
Touch my face
A hopeless embrace
It drives me away
But it turns me on
Like a stranger's love
It fuels the lies and feeds the curse
And leads me to be
Glorious
But I still want more
With the cuts and the bruises
Don't close the door
On what you adore
It drives me away
But it turns me on
Like a stranger's love
It fuels the lies and feeds the curse
And we too could be
Glorious

//my interpretation
This song is negative not positive.
"Satellites that compromise the truth" refers to how the government and mass media control and filter information to the people. Plus people are not totally in touch with all of the bad events going on in the world even when shown due to their "Rose-tinted view".
People want war without knowing the entire truth or other side of the story and "A hopeless embrace" points out how they fail to take in all info
"Faith...It fuels the lies, it feeds the curse" - people use their own ignorance and beliefs to oppress other religions, cultures, ethnicities, etc over and over throughout history. A modern example can be the battles in Africa or the Middle East. Others are the witch hunts and holocaust.
So basically the people fighting feel they are "glorious" but truly they are not deserving of glory.
It is already known that they question war/government/society and are not religious.
If it's okay, I'd like to disect this song:
Rose-tinted view, And satellites that, Compromise the truth, (It's hard to have a positive outlook on things when the media is always sending bad images)
But I wanted more With the cuts and the bruises Touch my face A hopeless embrace (He wants to get past all the bad images and let love take it's place, even though it is sometime really hard and you might feel hopeless.)
Faith It drives me away But it turns me on Like a stranger's love (When people have confidence in themselves it can be an egotistical confidence or it can be a real turn on.)
It rockets through the universe It fuels the lies and feeds the curse Believes we could be glorious (Faith and confidence are everywhere and we need to embrace them to succeed.)
I need to believe But I still want more With the cuts and the bruises Don't close the door On what you adore (Always go after what you want no matter the cost and always believe in yourself and the cause you believe in.)
Holy shit. You just described precisely what this songs means to me in a perfect way, it made me tear up. Thank you.

No one has commented on this song yet? Haven't figured out what the hell the song is about yet, but for a bonus track, it is friggin awesome. Reminds me a lot of Hysteria.
This is an awesome song.
This is a great song. I think it's all about believing, not necessarily in god or anything, just like believing in a cause or believing in someone or yourself. About how someone wants to believe, no matter what state they're in.
in interviews leading up to the release of the new album, matt said that a lot of the songs would be about things like hope. I think this song is about hope. to me, it seems like whoever this is is involved in somekind of war or trouble ro adversity (rose tinted view) and has no hope for himself (touch my face a hopless embrace). he eventually finds faith and this reminds him not to let go of what he wants (dont close the door on what you adore). faith eventually leads him to be glorious.
this song is awesome.
This is an AWESOME song. The best one on the album after Invincible. I especially love the very beginning and ending, with the really quick - whatever they are, guitar? - fading in and out.
Probably the happiest song they've ever done, too.
this song can be interpreted either negatively or positively.
i actually think it's both. this is probably because the song title itself represents glory- meaning something you feel positive about due to a negative obstacle you went through. either way- it's an amazing song.
This song is incredible. Why does it have to be so difficult to find?
