When she walks out she's illuminous
When she turns 'round she is someone else
And I can't fight
Can't find the rule or the exception
She moves towards me endlessly
Endlessly...
Endlessly...
Turns her face into music...
Into fog...
Voice behind me
Says "go on"
So I go on towards her endlessly
Endlessly...
Endlessly...
Switch the scene
Sun is rising
Summer trees
Someone smiling
She moves towards me endlessly
Endlessly...
Endlessly...
She walks out she's illuminous
When she turns 'round she is someone else
And I can't fight
Can't find the rule or the exception
She moves towards me endlessly
Endlessly...
Endlessly...
Into fog...
Voice behind me
Says "go on"
So I go on towards her endlessly
Endlessly...
Endlessly...
Sun is rising
Summer trees
Someone smiling
She moves towards me endlessly
Endlessly...
Endlessly...

Dreamy lyrics about a woman the author is in love with. She moves towards him endlessly. But they never actually connect. Maybe he's just dreaming. This song was originally released as a single and is available on the album Modern Art, The Best Of John Foxx. I highly recommend it.
The last line is purposely the same as the first. That tells me he blew it. The pair never moved towards each other endlessly except in his fantasy. He ignores his friend's encouragement to talk to her and his mind suddenly wanders off to typical disconnected John Foxx themes: summer, sunlight, a random face. While he's daydreaming, the woman leaves yet he's convinced they'll inevitably be drawn together. Once again, Foxx has told us of a passive observer who sees things in powerful romantic visions but never does anything romantic!
