Nostalgia Lyrics
Absorbing your words
Battles raging within me
Absorbing your words
Is gradually tearing my soul in two
There isn't much I could do
Despite my fear it helps to
Share my nostalgia with you
There isn't time to stand still
We are constantly changing
You're draining my will
I find myself rearranging my points of view
There isn't much I could do
Despite my fear it helps to
Share my nostalgia with you
Tomorrow I remember yesterday
Tomorrow, remember yesterday
Tomorrow, remember yesterday
Tomorrow I remember yesterday
Whatever lies in my past
Or what is yet in the future
Time passes so fast
Suppose there's always the danger
I won't pull through
I'll have to think this thing through
Despite my fear it helps to
Share my nostalgia with you
Tomorrow I'll remember yesterday
Tomorrow I remember yesterday
Tomorrow, remember yesterday
Tomorrow, remember yesterday
Tomorrow, remember yesterday
Tomorrow, nostalgia will lead me away
Battles raging within me
Absorbing your words
Is gradually tearing my soul in two
There isn't much I could do
Despite my fear it helps to
Share my nostalgia with you
We are constantly changing
You're draining my will
I find myself rearranging my points of view
There isn't much I could do
Despite my fear it helps to
Share my nostalgia with you
Tomorrow, remember yesterday
Tomorrow, remember yesterday
Tomorrow I remember yesterday
Or what is yet in the future
Time passes so fast
Suppose there's always the danger
I won't pull through
I'll have to think this thing through
Despite my fear it helps to
Share my nostalgia with you
Tomorrow I remember yesterday
Tomorrow, remember yesterday
Tomorrow, remember yesterday
Tomorrow, nostalgia will lead me away

This song is beautiful.
My favorite Chameleons song. I think it's about two people discussing a common but painful memory (like a breakup) but each is remembering it in a different way. The singer (Mark) is hearing a version/perspective of the story in which he has blame and it is conflicting with his own personal narrative in which he was the victim. At the same time, he seems to be open to this new perspective and he finds the discussion to be cathartic. The finale "Tomorrow, I'll remember yesterday" means that this new chapter to the story will stick with him. It's a simple song but invokes so much: lost love/friendship, humility, regret, and the pain that nostalgia not truth but is tainted by our own perspectives and desires: "nostalgia will lead me away".
I agree with you, Felys
Great imagery in the lyrics and the music plays well with it. Chameleons ROCK!!!
This is about fond memories, hearts and flowers, homesickness, longing, pining, reminiscence, remorse, sentimentality, wistfulness and yearning.
This is a perfectly crafted pop song, and shows what amazing talent and chemistry this band had to create songs like this at so young an age.
