i think not. it sounds to me more like somebody who is picked on their whole life, and dthe lead singer is inviting them to his army or w/e because he can make him stronger, and how

it's all about being defeated all your life just to align with similiar people to be able to stand up for yourself.
as for the video - we are taught to respect our parents, no matter what. what better way to represent the song than use an abusive father for a kid to finally have the courage to stand up to him - the kid now has people to help him give him the courage to stand up and stop getting abused
