This guy is trying to convince someone to quit being so dull and to live it up. Everyone's partying on the sun, but the moon is a dark and motionless party of one. Maybe the blood is a metaphor for the feeling that the other person is getting as they may feel more and more like dancing. Its like a...blood transfusion that gives you new and galvanized motivation. You don't need a reason to dance. Just do it. I like this number. Dance in My Blood. Nicely named too if you get the point of it.
I agree with Mr. Citrus. This song is all about just having fun and trying to cast off the old and boring that the subject seemingly has. The narrator is "the sun" and is therefore lively and fun, but the subject is "the sinking moon" and is boring and cannot have fun.
I love the beats of this song. The revive of disco sound is cool. I probably like it because I didn't live through the time of the real disco and am not sick of it.
I love this band and the party they bring with them in all of their songs.
