Flowers Lyrics
I had a dream, far away from here,
Far away from you, far from all the pain.
With strength in numbers, the sad betrayal braves,
Return to desecrate those memories again.
And there you were taking flowers from my grave...
And there you were stealing flowers from my grave...
I kiss the ground but I can hardly breathe,
As you scrape me from the pavement once again.
Safety in numbers, you thought I'd washed away,
But I'm still waiting for the rain...

This song is so disturbing. I had a bunch of dreams where I was dead. But none where I could see someone else stealing flowers from my grave. Ok, so it's just a poetic description of a crazy dream. But how am I supposed to feel when I hear "as you scrape me from the pavement once again"? Or that her body is somehow stuck to the ground and waiting for the rain to wash away? DISTURBING! In a curious way, though. I can't help but want to interview Patterson and Moss to ask them what they were thinking.
