Say You Do Lyrics
What is love can you tell me baby be,
Is it the hole you put inside me.
Yon cavernous crater young windswept cave,
If love is my salvation I don't want to be saved.
But I never met a girl like you.
Someone who made that dumb shit true
So oo oo.
(Love me love me love me, say you do)
When you do,
Won't you say you do.
(Love me love me love me, say you do)
Say you do.
Full capacity mind wake suck sanity I fake,
Not much more that I can take before I start to bend a break.
Burn the Indian sky the sea, I blot out every memory,
And then I solemn vow I swear, I'll never ever ever fall again.
But I never met a girl like you,
Someone to keep my black heart blue.
And I'll always stay a little bit me,
The portrait of complicity.
Well its a lovely picture of me,
Hanging on the stars above me, Screaming girl why don't you love me.
Well its a lovely picture of me,
Hanging on the stars above me, Screaming girl why don't you love me.
Well its a lovely picture of me,
Hanging on the stars above me, Screaming girl why don't you love me.

Ill be the first to say that the lyrics may not be 100%, the "burn the indian sky the sea" bit is said so fast its hard to understand what he says if you don't have beforehand knowledge. So that said its boaut 96% correct.
The song is pretty self explanatory IMO, its above him wanting a girl to love him.
I'm almost positive that it is not "young" but "yon" in both of the instances at the beginning of the song, and not just because he is speaking quickly, but rather because they intended it that way.
I want to say that its something at least close to "burn the empty sky I see, I blot out every memory" or "burn the empty sky and sea, I blot out every memory"
i love this song. it's definitely not their most complex, but that's probably why i like it so much. it's just so natural. the whole thing just saunters on at such a lazy and bumbling pace. the first line is so trite and simple, but the way tunde delivers it is so haunting.
"the first line is so trite and simple, but the way tunde delivers it is so haunting."
The first lines are supposed to be trite. They're an example of the "dumb shit" this girl made true.
i'm surprised no one mentioned the mild sampling of nina simone. i think that's one of the strong points of the song.
agreed, pretty self-explanatory; however, one could delve further in saying that his love is unrequited not just professed.
full capacity heart break, such sanity i fake?
This is completely the wrong song!
