I Love Rock and Roll Lyrics
I saw him dancin' there by the record machine
I knew he must a been about seventeen
The beat was goin' strong
Playin' my favorite song
An' I could tell it wouldn't be long
Till he was with me, yeah me, singin'
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me
He smiled so I got up and' asked for his name
That don't matter, he said,
'Cause it's all the same
Said can I take you home where we can be alone
An' next we were movin' on
He was with me, yeah me
Next we were movin' on
He was with me, yeah me, singin'
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me
Said can I take you home where we can be alone
An we'll be movin' on
An' singin' that same old song
Yeah with me, singin'
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me
I knew he must a been about seventeen
The beat was goin' strong
Playin' my favorite song
An' I could tell it wouldn't be long
Till he was with me, yeah me, singin'
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me
That don't matter, he said,
'Cause it's all the same
He was with me, yeah me
He was with me, yeah me, singin'
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me
An' singin' that same old song
Yeah with me, singin'
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me

obviously, she loves rock & roll.
puts another dime in the jukebox
Joan Jett was 23 when "I Love Rock and Roll" was a hit in 1981. She sings of picking up a 17-year-old guy. There is a significant gap in emotional maturity between the ages of 17 and 23. This song has a certain amount of "cougar" appeal. At the time, the women's liberation movement was still in full swing, so the idea of a 20-something woman picking up a teenage guy implies that the woman would be more experienced and possibly have more control in the relationship.
this song is referring to sex as rock n roll playing that same old song....Yeah with me, singin' I love rock n' roll= i love sex
pmsl warlock.. excellent analysis
love this song hope nobody tries to over analyze because its pretty straight forward warlock pretty much summmed it up "she loves rock and roll"
its not about her loving rock and roll its about her picking up teenagers
You homo's are dumb, it means she see's a guy at a bar and the start flirting then go home and have sex practically.
It's about how Highrise101 is a dipshit.
you lot are idiots. learn some decent music analysis.
