I think this is about a summer romance starting and ebing unsure where it will lead you.

I LOVE IT! i cant wait for the new album and i just bought my tickets for the show at the pagent, where i saw him two years ago and it was the most amazing experience ever...i cannot wait!!!

The version I have ends with "can you believe your eyes" instead of "to be continued...". Hmmm. Well I can definately see why they named this new album Dusk and Summer, many of them are about summer and things happening in summer. Like this song, Currents and Stolen... and there's probably more. It's nice that this CD comes out at the beginning of they summer, I want to just lie on the sunny beach and listen to it.

Have to say I like the acoustic version a lot better. Lovely song.

This song's harmonies are the best of the album, especially with "she gets you any closer" at the end of the song.

good job on the lyrics... a few things... the itunes liner notes provides some lyrics... they're pretty helpful: its 'steeplechases and bars...' and at the end of what you have it continues: 'under the cool sheet where the welcome touch of skin and skin will meet hot on the inside where the girl's prize is at the tip of your tongue. when every move and each impulse brings clarity to stay like this is everything you'll ever need. she just might get you lost and she just might leave you torn but she just might save your life is she gets you any closer. can you believe your eyes?'

When he played this song last night in concert I almost died. The passion he put into the performance floored me.

the whole cd just reminds me of the summer romance that ended too soon.

I think that this song is about the new romance, the first verse being when they first met, and he instantly fell in love, and then the second being the first kiss and he was instantly hooked with her.

i think the chorus is about how after he knows that it might not work, as " she just might get you lost" this may mean that he'll get left in the moment, or she'll leave him and he'l fell lost and alone. and then "she might just leave you torn" meanin shes gonna leave him and break his hear. and "she might just save your soul" as in actually it could go worng, but there is a chance she could be his saviour.

i think the third verse is about how she takes him upstairs to his room, and the fourth being how it becomes obvious that she wants sex, and she puts his hand down her underwear. im not sure if "lace and secret places" means that he knows its wrong, or if its new to him, so he feels like a kid, with the "secret" place.

the next verse is them both being naked and having sex. i think the last two lines are about him going down on her, with "hot on the inside where the girls prize is, at the tip of your tongue" being his tonge on her g - spot.

the next verse is to do with him just wanting to stay like it forever and is pretty self explanatory. then the chorus again reiterates how he knows it could be good or bad.

and the last line, "can you believe your eyes?" is him in shock at what has actually just gone on.

i think that the next song on the album "so long, so long" is the morning after the night before, ie, this song.

an amazing song tho, DC never fail to impress.
