I Want You Lyrics
I want you
I have for so long
I want you
Was I right, was I wrong
I want you
Through the pleasure and the pain
I want you
Again and again
I want you
I have for so long
I want you
Was I right, was I wrong
I want you
I guess I had to prove
I want you
I was someone hard to lose
I'm the spartan splasher
Defensive man of steel
If the right one don't get ya
Then left one will
I sleep all alone
It's all I can do
I want you
I want you right now
I want you
I want you right now
I'm a bundle of joy
A pocketful of tears
Got enough of them both
To last all the years
I live all alone
It's all I can do
I want you
I want you right now
I want you
I want you right now
I want you
I want you right now
I want you
I want you right now
I want you
I want you right now
I want you right now
I have for so long
I want you
Was I right, was I wrong
I want you
Through the pleasure and the pain
I want you
Again and again
I want you
I have for so long
I want you
Was I right, was I wrong
I want you
I guess I had to prove
I want you
I was someone hard to lose
Defensive man of steel
If the right one don't get ya

It's all I can do
I want you right now

What on earth is a spartan splasher? I feel so silly asking
@rowzeeg420 I think it's a typo, I've always interpreted as "slasher", so it's a Spartan warrior swordsman, which is explained by "defensive man of steel".

As a metaphor it obviously means he's emotionally unstable, guarded, defensive, but might lash out.

But I've also thought that the song might be about a serial killer stalking a victim. Echoed by "Play in the Rain" which seems to be simila in theme to me.

But both songs could clearly just be metaphors for obsession.

@rowzeeg420 PS Spartans used dual swords, by the way. Which explains "right one don't get you", etc.

@rowzeeg420 PPS errata, a spear and a sword, not dual swords. I should have said dual weapons.

This song has that quirky, restless feel to it that I associate with attraction, or when you see someone who's completely out of your league. The guitar solo is purely schizophrenic and you can just imagine someone pacing up and down their room, a thousand and one thoughts rushing through their brain.
