(1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4!)
Doo doo, do-do
Doo doo, do-do
D-do do, doo doo

I'm sure I've seen this look before
Done a thousand times and a million more
How many lies did you tell this time?
How many times did you cross the line?

It won't help me, but I have to ask
Is there something real that's behind the mask?
Something we don't know about
A little faith in amongst the doubt

And maybe someday you will grow
Maybe someday you will know
And maybe someday you will end these fears and go

A little piece of me grows old,
I keep on walking down this road
I've seen a million people change
But I will stay the same

And I know you
Know you always steal and borrow
And I know you
Know you never catch
You're never gonna catch tomorrow

I'm sure I've played this scene before
I've seen this room, I've walked this floor
I'm sure I used to hold your hand, did I hurt you?
All this attitude with no history
All this anger when you're attacking me
Got a lot to learn, and ya got to know
Your time is up, kid let it go

And maybe someday you will grow
Maybe someday you will know
And maybe someday you will end these tears and go

A little piece of me grows old,
I keep on walking down this road
I've seen a million people change
But I will stay the same

And I know you
Know you always steal and borrow
And I know you
Know you never catch
You're never gonna catch tomorrow

(You're never gonna catch tomorrow)

Whoa

A little piece of me grows old,
I keep on walking down this road
I've seen a million people change
But I will stay the same

And I know you
Know you always steal and borrow
And I know you
Know you never catch
You're never gonna catch tomorrow

Yeah the haircut's hot, but this has gotta stop
Good shoes won't save ya this time
I think you're gonna find, with everything combined that time
Time's run out on this lie

And I know you
Know you always steal and borrow
And I know you
Know you never catch
You're never gonna catch tomorrow

Doo doo, do-do
Doo doo, do-do
D-do do, doo doo

    My Interpretation

Here is what I think of the first part.

I'm sure I've seen this look before Done a thousand times and a million more

** He's seen the face she's made before, she's done it a lot, he knows what it means

How many lies did he tell this time? How many times did he cross the line?

** How many lies has her boyfriend(?) made to her? How many times was he unfaithful?

It won't help me but I have to ask Is there something real that's behind the mask? Something true we don't know about? A little faith in amongst the doubt

** It won't really help the situation, but he want's to know is she for real, or is she lying to herself. Being someone who isn't truly her. Is there something about her no one knows?

And maybe someday you will grow Maybe someday you will know Maybe someday you will end these tears and go

** Maybe one day she will grow up and stop being so immature. Maybe she'll learn not to be what she's not. Then maybe her pain will go away, and she won't have to cry anymore.

A little piece of me grows old I keep on walking down this road I've seen a million people change but I will stay the same

** He's seen many people change themselves for other people, but he won't. He's smarter than that. He's better than that.

And I know you, (Know you, know you) always steal and borrow

** He knows she 'steals' and 'borrows' how other people act/dress/behave and copies it for her own use. She isn't who she really is, so she takes from others.

And I know you, (Know you, know you) Never catch, you're never gonna catch tomorrow

    ** I don't have one for this.

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
