I think this song is actually very simple.
We're going to be left without our home, the Earth, if we don't stop doing what we're doing to it VERY SOON. Though we think it's easier to ignore that and start looking for a new home already (which is sad, isn't it? I don't think we could live anywhere else but the Earth, so why not try and treat it better?)
In the end, we'll be looking down at it from our spaceships because we'll have no other choice than to leave it behind.
The whole song, with the lyrics and music sounds a bit angry to me, it's like a loud warning that needs to be heard.
