I think this song is about Jesus. I'm not religious or anything, but the line "You are the way, the truth and the life" is almost directly from the Bible. Initially, I thought it was about a girl, but now...I'm pretty sure it's about Jesus.
I can definitely see the Jesus vibe. John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (I remember this from my days going to a Christian academy)
To me, the beauty of a song like this is that it can be taken in any way possible. If you don't believe in Jesus or God, this song can be about someone in your life who makes you a better person, someone who pulls you through days where you don't think you can live through. This song is pure genius, the emotion it brings to me is overwhelming, Jesus or not.
Oh yeah, I'm not that religious anymore either so this song holds different meanings to me.

Beautiful song. Although I'm agnostic I found this song really inspiring, I wish I could believe in something that deeply.
It's about the Persian god, Mithra who was known as the Way, the Truth and the Life. Or it might be about a woman :)
