Good Friend, Yr Hunger Lyrics
And I cannot
befriend you true
in searching for
my light in you
In seeking out it's
sinless reflections, oh no
And I will not be an idle hand
I will not be an idle hand
friend, I will be your idle hand no more
Love, I cannot be
your lover true
in searching for
my love in you
in seeking it's
sinless protection, oh no
And I will not be a hungry ghost
I will not be a hungry ghost
and good friend, your hunger, i will not host, oh no
befriend you true
in searching for
my light in you
In seeking out it's
sinless reflections, oh no
I will not be an idle hand
friend, I will be your idle hand no more
your lover true
in searching for
my love in you
in seeking it's
sinless protection, oh no
I will not be a hungry ghost
and good friend, your hunger, i will not host, oh no

I’m surprised no one commented on this song, I love all of their songs but none the less this one is brilliant. I favor this verse.. “And I will not be a hungry ghost I will not be a hungry ghost and good friend, your hunger, i will not host, oh no”
This song seems to say that the it is impossible to give true friendship if one is searching for joy in others. I'm struggling with the meaning of the last line, though.
i believe the last line refers to not hosting a good friend who is hungry...but why not? or perhaps it is refering to not giving in to a friends hunger for your attention...anyway, that might be it, but only raymond raposa could say for sure...cheerio!
"friend, I will be your idle hand no more"
like, you can't only have when you need me i'm not waiting around to be used anymore, is what i feel
