One More Girl Lyrics

I took off my iron smile
Because I found it weight me down
Tomorrow when the world wakes up
I'll be in another town

You don't know what you want
but at this moment it could be me
You move your hand across my knee
Turn me in to some novelty
I guess I'm

One more girl on the stage
Just one more ass that got
Stuffed in some jeans
And it's one more day that you
Don't find true love
Because you don't know
What it means

Did you ever take the time to
Think about who I might be
Where I've been, what I'm thinking
Who I loved, what I've seen

Yeah, Yeah

I'm one more car out
On the road that
You might pass on your wa home
Someone's sister, somone's wife or
Just some bitch who's probably
Got no life yes I'm

One more girl on the stage
Just one more ass that got
Stuffed in some jeans
And it's one more day that you
Don't find true love
Because you don't know
What it means

One day we'll be a pile of ashes
for the rest of time it passes
So take your hand off my knee
Do you know what it means to be

One more girl on the stage
Just one more ass that got
Stuffed in some jeans
And it's one more day that you
Don't find true love
Because you don't know
What it means

Yeah, Yeah

my favorite wreckers song.

i feel like i can relate to this a lot. to me, it's about a girl who is seen as a sexual conquest rather than a real person with feelings and a history. it's a great song, i can't stop listening to it.

@ll_sara_ll I so agree with you ! I'm a man and this speaks to my heart

You move your hand across my knee / Turn me in to some novelty

That's gotta be the best line in this song.

This is my favorite song, as well. I think it's basically about how women are classified into certain stereotypes and, with those titles, they get parallel reputations. They aren't thought of as individuals, but as a group. That's what I get from it anyway...

Put me in a catergory, in a tiny little box. I dare one more person to do this, and I'll step on the gas so quick it'll make ya head spin.

This is one of my favourite songs. They didn't write it, though I wish they did, as it's beautiful. Very sad, but beautiful. I think every women can relate to this song as we've all felt like an object before (men can feel like an item too but it's a very femine view so I don't think they relate to the song as well)

You move your hand across my knee Turn me in to some novelty

definetly the best lines

Written by the ever-so-amazing Patty Griffin, covered by the Wreckers. You can't beat it.

It's a very feministic song. Don't classify women and view them as sexual objects. Every woman is someone's mother, daughter, sister, wife...they have feelings, too.
