What an amazing track! All one track to me because:

Sounds like its about Heroin. As lots of great songs are....

• The beginning, when it was take it or leave it, but it's past that point

• The Heroine calling.

"Golden Slumbers"

• Golden brown?

"Boy, you're gonna carry that weight Carry that weight a long time"

• Pauls warning to John, who was big on the stuff in '68

"I never give you my pillow I only send you my invitations"

• With the desire for it outweighing any high

"And in the middle of the celebrations I break down"

• I have known a couple of people plough Heroins lonely furrow, when it took hold fully their lives broke down.

"Oh yeah, all right Are you gonna be in my dreams Tonight"

• I got nothing.

"And in the end The love you take Is equal to the love you make"

• What goes up must come down? Or maybe a more subtle point about "The [drugs] you take" eclipsing The Beatles love spreading agenda.

Still love this track. Though I'm kinda hoping someone will come and say it's about how great it is to walk through the countryside early on a Saturday, or maybe Kittens? Anyone?
