Tonightless Lyrics

We'll be tonightless

We can't wait another moment
Our time will come before we know it (before we know it)
With your heart you got to open up this time
I don't want to be alone tonight

Am I gonna be tonightless again?
Although the loneliness has got to end
I know the years have been so bittersweet
But you don't have to go, so please don't leave

Our souls are lost without each other
We got to find some time to recover (to recover)
If you hold me close, this heartache will subside
I don't want to be alone tonight

Am I gonna be tonightless again?
Although the loneliness has got to end
I know the years have been so bittersweet
But you don't have to go, so please don't leave

We'll be tonightless
We'll be tonight

We'll be tonightless
We'll be tonight
We'll be tonightless
We'll be tonight (You know me well, you know me well)
We'll be tonightless
We'll be tonight (You know me well, you know me well)
We'll be tonightless (We'll be tonightless, baby)
We'll be tonight (You know me well, you know me well)

The missed out lyrics in in second verse are "Our souls (are lost without each other)".

I think this is a beautiful song. It's really well done. The idea of being "tonightless" comes from the way that people, especially in songs, talk about "tonight" as being something special or the time something will be achieved, this song is saying, we might never have "tonight", we might be "tonightless". The singer's questioning, "Am I gonna be tonightless again?" is expressing his doubts in whatever relationship he's in.

Good song, lovely concept too.

This is freaking awesome. I'm just waitin for someone to criticize this because it's not heavy like "You Broke Like Glass" or "Waiting for the Heavens" but I say screw that it's still a good song. It doesn't have to be heavy to be good. And fear, you seem to have it.

Who cares if it isn't as heavy as what they did with Vanity or Obsession? As long a song rocks out and is enjoyable then it doesnt bother me.

Anyways, I think the song has to do with relationships, obviously. Its basically doubting a relationship. Questioning oneself, asking will it work or will it be screwed?

I pretty much agree with fear. Its a good concept and his meaning of it.

I am surprised no one's posted Victim's lyrics yet.

this song is soo much better than their other single "victum" this song is very catchy and easy to listen to over and over. its one of very few bright spots on this album. the palm muting during the verses fits really great with the song too.

Definately a great song. I believe it is about a couple who wants to be together forever, and does not want the night they are together to end. The past has been cruel to both of them, so they find solace in one-another.

Actually it's...

We'll be tonightless (You know we will, you know we will) and so on and so forht?

Can someone explain the video? I understand the song, but the music video for it slightly confused me. Maybe just saying what is going on in the video will help...actually it will.

I still don\'t know what \'tonightless\' means but I feel it. I also still debate whether the audible breath you hear in between the first and second line is intentional or not.... Perhaps, it means something, a statement about the fragile nature of such things like love and life. Or they just ran out of time in the studio and said fuck it, it sounds alright. Lol
