Empte Lyrics
beat my head to wake up cause I feel as if I'm sleeping
past is in the heart and I am waiting for the rhythm
feed the holy jaws no saying pain is the answer
after all is gone the story leaves me feeling empty
and all alone
it leaves me feeling empty
breathe
we are all animals inside
free the spirit is alive to guide us
we're all alone and really feeling empty
we're all alone
when all revenge falls apart
taken a step back from the start
it leaves me feeling empty
past is in the heart and I am waiting for the rhythm
feed the holy jaws no saying pain is the answer
after all is gone the story leaves me feeling empty
and all alone
it leaves me feeling empty
breathe
we are all animals inside
free the spirit is alive to guide us
we're all alone and really feeling empty
we're all alone
when all revenge falls apart
taken a step back from the start
it leaves me feeling empty

I agree that the song is a bout religion..mainly christianity having the name spelled EmpTe having the t capitalize to put focus on the christian cross (the T is capitalized..not the e..i say this while looking at the c.d. case) and i think the spirit is alive to guide us part is to show that its the kind of ...manipulation of the religion in the world today thats causeing him to feel empty and the spirit is alive to guide us not..constrict,brainwash.controle,tell us when to shit, ect
This one is really hard, but I think it's about religion. Feeding the holy jaws is to give money to religious benefits. (Not that they're saying that they're for that) The story leaves me feeling emptE, the story is the bible and it apparently displeases them. the spirit is alive to guide us we're all alone, this makes two opposing points the first is that there is a god and the second is that we're all alone and there is no higher being.
I think this song is about why man invented religion. I mean, when you think about it religion isnt too different from things like alcohol, drugs or tobacco. This song makes some kind of connection of religion with that certain part of human nature. I'm not 100% sure though.
i agree with religion being like alch and drugs...cant even begin to see how that relates to the song tho plz explain
seems like a statement that what organized religion has unraveled into has totally debased the deeper meanings and intrinsic value of spirituality for Ogre...
I'm pretty sure the second verse says "dream", not "free".
