Low Lyrics
injected venom sucking the life from us away for eighty days it's white
noise just white noise staying awake for the music's sake they say they
listen but never hear a thing mass deception illusion perception we say
they listen to white noise can this really be our time are we found to
find the line dissillusion me again can we really be the only ones who see
this charade the meaning is fleeting all these egos competing searching
for an identity through the series of misleading disillusion me again
noise just white noise staying awake for the music's sake they say they
listen but never hear a thing mass deception illusion perception we say
they listen to white noise can this really be our time are we found to
find the line dissillusion me again can we really be the only ones who see
this charade the meaning is fleeting all these egos competing searching
for an identity through the series of misleading disillusion me again

I know. this song is about the band questioning whether or not they are still a good band. They aer strung out from doing tours and the audience doesn't even listen. And they are wondering if they should still be a band because it doesn't matter that much. Also, there are so many other bands for people to listen to- "The egos are competing". The band has hit a LOW point in thier lives, but thank God that was in the past.
nice song. keeps the adrenaline pumping haha xD
I'd like to think that this song is about some kind of addiction, whether it be tangible or not. The first line makes the listener/reader think of substance abuse, "Injected venom sucking the life from us away for eighty days." If you guys haven't seen any DH dvds, these guys drink a LOT of alcohol. The only line, i think, that would make me think that this is a TOURING addiction is " Staying awake for the music's sake." But, I CAN be wrong, and this could be a rebellion against mass media: "They say they listen but never hear a thing. Mass deception, illusion, perception."
I think that it's about media..."the meaning is fleeting, all these ego's competing."
I'd really like to know what they meant by white noise ... anyone has any idea what it meaning it has in the song ? And also what charade ?
Its about drug addiction, and specifically the period in time where someone reaches there low, or rock bottom. The person wants out of their addictive cycle, but they just keep going back in. "Are we found to find the line? Disillusion me again."
I have to agree with agonyburnsred, this song is about their own music and the toll being in a band and touring takes on the human spirit; not drug addiction or something stupid like that. As a musician I instantly related to this song. After a while of playing the same songs night, after night, it kind of loses it's meaning and becomes (white noise). The line "The meaning is fleeting, all these egos competing" really stuck out to me too. People that play in metal bands usually think they are the shit, lol.
