You Can Live At Home Lyrics
You're looking for a chance to give your mind a rest
Now please correct me if I'm wrong
The story goes that I'm not terribly impressed
I guess I've known it all along
Walk, walk, walk away, walk keep on walking
Figured it out that I was wasting all my time
And time was eating at my soul
Now I find comfort only somewhere in my mind
Free to pursue another goal
Walk, walk, walk away, walk keep on walking
I can be fine, I can be free
I can beautiful without you torturing me
Walk, walk, walk away, walk keep on walking
You can live at home now, you can live at home now
Now please correct me if I'm wrong
The story goes that I'm not terribly impressed
I guess I've known it all along
And time was eating at my soul
Now I find comfort only somewhere in my mind
Free to pursue another goal
I can be fine, I can be free
I can beautiful without you torturing me
Walk, walk, walk away, walk keep on walking

I've always loved the line "I can beautiful without you torturing me" - it reminds me of the 2-1-2-3-1-3 at the end of Answering Machine by the Replacements.
It's interesting how both Up in the Air and You Can Live at Home are biting attacks against Hart and Mould respectively. I'm surprised people didn't see the band's breakup coming as soon as the album was released.
Just like how it still came as a surprise that Bruce Springsteen was in an unhappy marriage when "Tunnel of Love" came out? :-)

That is one of my favourite lines too and it's so easy not to hear it because it's kind of burried in there (live performance is easier to hear).

I used to not like "Warehouse: Songs and Stories" until I heard this song a few times.
The things I love about this song are the bitter tone Grant has, the bass line and Bob's solo... but mostly the bitter tone.
Tremendous song.
