I didn’t mean it till
His eyes caught my tenderloin
I see him looking to my knees-
La la la.

I see him getting a rise
I see him shaking his horns
I see him bathing in silence-
La la la

Gone craaazy in a maaaaaze…
Oh, done the signs, and
Trade the days and
I’ve gone crazy in a maze…
Bling-bling bling, and
Blood red tings…

Should have had to pull that string
Oh, I know now I should have had everything
Oh, I know now I should’ve had my wits or a dagger
To cut me off

These horns are not for honking.

I feel the minutes slide beside me in the room
I see him looking to my knees- la la la
I see him getting his thighs
I see him shaking his horns
I see him getting excited-
La la la

Gone craaazy in a maaaaaze…
Oh, done the signs, and
Trade the days and
I’ve gone crazy in a maze…
Bling-bling bling, and
Blood red tings…
Gone craaazy in a maaaaaze…
Oh, done the signs, and
Trade the days and
You are going crazy in a maze…
Bling-bling bling, and
Blood red tings…

I know, I know, I know…
Oh no, Oh no, oh no…
La la la la la la la la la la la la

This song is actually about Theseus and the Minotaur. Read the legend. Read the lyrics.

The dark, haunting sound of this song is awesome...

The combination of electronic noise and that disturbed voice has got me hooked

It's definitely about that Minotaur...but it also seems weirdly sexual.

These are almost accurate, but the first line is "I feel the Minotaur's eyes (the the second line, "on my tenderloin"). Similarly, the first line of the second verse is "I feel the Minotaur slide beside me in the room."

And yeah, definitely about Theseus and the Minotaur. Pretty obvious.

i was going to say something about those lines!!! i thought i was the only one hearing that haha

though to me the song has always seemed weirdly sexual like DeadHazzy said, even though the theseus and the minotaur thing is kind of obvious.

First of all the lyrics posted to this site (and most it seems) are plain and simply wrong. The lyrics should read (though I have no concrete proof save what I think I hear from the song):

I saw the minotaur's eyes upon my tinderloin. I saw him looking to ride me. La la la.

I saw him getting rise. I saw him shaking his horns. I saw him getting excited. La la la.

I've gone crazy in a maze Saw the signs and I trade the days Oh, I've gone crazy in a maze Bling bling bling And blood red ting

I know, I should have pulled on that string Oh I know now, I should have had it with me Oh I know now I should have had my wits or a dagger to cut him. These horns are not for honking.

I felt the minotaur slide right beside me in the room I see him looking to ride me La la la

I see him gettin' a rise I see him shakin' his horns I see him lookin' excited La la la

I've gone crazy in a maze Saw the signs and I trade the days Oh, I've gone crazy in a maze Bling bling bling And blood red ting

I've gone crazy in a maze Saw the signs and I trade the days Oh, I've gone crazy in a maze Bling bling bling And blood red ting

La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la

I feel the minotaurs eyes on my tenderloin I see him looking to bite me La la la

I see him getting rise I see him shaking his horns I see him gettin' excited La la la

Gone crazy in a maze Oh, done the signs, and Trade the days and I’ve gone crazy in a maze Bling-bling bling, and Blood red teeth

Should have had to pull that string Oh, I know now I should have had it with me Oh, I know now I should’ve had my wits or a dagger To cut him off

These horns are not for honking

I feel the minotaur slide right beside me in the room I see him looking to ride me La la la

Yeah, the lyrics are wrong. Otwaga's are the most accurate as far as I can tell.

    Lyric Correction

I thought it was: "Gone crazy in a maze of dollar signs and traded days/Gone crazy in a maze of bling bling bling and blood red tape."

The mythical allegory of getting lost in a labyrinth seems to be complicated by allusions to prostitution and self-debauchery (romantic entanglement? artistic compromise?)

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
