I Need All the Friends I Can Get

This song makes me terribly sad, since I know many people like the guy they're singing about in this song. Say most people they know are stupid. Place themselves above the others. But they still like attractive girls who are the same as everyone they consider stupid. I don't know, that's partly what i see in this song.

Yep, I see it as about a heartbreaker who likes to think he's not and that he's really a good guy. Great song.

This is song is so much fun.

I hate people who this song is about. I get the idea that it's about a heart breaker. God damn them all.

So if you know you're that guy and you seem upset about it, why keep doing it? I mean, Come on. you should seriously just tone it down a bit if that's how you are. Know your mistakes. That's all I have to say. Love you all =] Peace, love, robots.

Maybe it is more about friendship/relations in general since she sings "I need all the friends i can get". Also she puts both him, the mystery blonde and herself in the role of being just the same. Same wirth the "The people are tired and commitment has gone. To this I've been a witness" Lines.

For me this is more a complaint about freindships/relations losing value. And the pure frustration about it is emphasised with the fact that even though she hates this, she still needs all the friends she can get since she tries to use quantity where quality is missing.
