I can remember the night our eyes were traded out for malfunctioning projectors, plugged in our visual sockets, filtering our view. I can remember the second the quiet, humming waves turned on us with everything they got, turned from drowsy messengers to a virus spreading horde we still kiss goodnight and how our lips bleed but well never taste the blood because the reason for its flow is the treason we wake up every morning.

I can remember the song we sang when we lost the notes we needed to live as a (imagi)nation under the same burning flag. Daily routines built brick by brick into the stories of our lives with the pages growing thinner as we get closer to the end and I still remember every single thing

Never heard the song before, but the lyrics look pretty damn deep.
