I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's about giving up on love and not feeling loved by anyone (romantically or not), and then someone coming into your life and changing your mind and being that "one" person who brought you out of that darkness.

i think youre prety much right yeah... i think its about when you feel like no one has loved you for so long... and she is saying that no matter what you may think, there is something just round the corner, and all it takes is one thing or person to change everything... i LOVE this song, i can relate to it PERFECTLY! and im only sixteen haha
