Komakino Lyrics
This is the hour when the mysteries emerge
A strangeness so hard to reflect
A moment so moving goes straight to your heart
The vision has never been met
The attraction is held like a weight deep inside
Something I'll never forget
The pattern is set, her reaction will start
Complete but rejected too soon
Looking ahead in the grip of each fear
Recalls the life that we knew
The shadow that stood by the side of the road
Always reminds me of you
How can I find the right way to control
All the conflicts inside, all the problems beside
As the questions arise, and the answers don't fit
Into my way of things
Into my way of things
A strangeness so hard to reflect
A moment so moving goes straight to your heart
The vision has never been met
The attraction is held like a weight deep inside
Something I'll never forget
Complete but rejected too soon
Looking ahead in the grip of each fear
Recalls the life that we knew
The shadow that stood by the side of the road
Always reminds me of you
All the conflicts inside, all the problems beside
As the questions arise, and the answers don't fit
Into my way of things
Into my way of things

This is a great. Lyrically it does not seem to touch me to much. But Ian's singing pattern is superb. So confident and sure and in sync with the background music.
Most importantly though I think that Stephen Morris's drumming is excellent in this song. I feel that he was much more talented in Joy Division than in New Order.
This song could very well have to do with meeting someone for a momentary moment and just feeling one anothers energies and an instant click- with the knowledge that you'll never see them again, but they will always be etched in your brain somewhere. Hence the shadow.
I personally feel this song is about a nervous break down. A begginning of a disorder and seeing all of these irrational anxieties as something to deal with. He is talking of remembering how simple things used to be and how much it hurts him that things have changed. Also he feels he is stuck in his ways and does not feel right anymore. I think it is titled movie coma because its like a scene in a movie where a lot of emotion is expressed but no real words or logic behind it like a scene of someone dying sort of a climatic part but in a negative way.
i cant believe noone has commented on this song, it rocks! i love the tribal-y drums and the sort of mellow feel to it. i think its about breaking up with someone (or loosing someone) and not being able to let go and get it out of your head. and you try to move on but its no use, and you just keep looking back to the past.
a minor song in fact in the career of J.D but with great rythms. The title means "movie coma" in german. Can't tell the true meaning of it...
I dont' know!!!---in some kind of weird way reminds me of primus, or I should say primus sometimes sound like this song...
The posted lyrics are so wrong.
"Condition that's never been met" "...that's held like a wake deep inside" "...the reaction will start" "...in the grip of each tear"" "Impulse that blinds every move"(not Recalls the life that we knew") "The questions are right"
and most importantly, it isn't "into my way of things" its: "Into my way of paying"
This is a very under-rated Joy Division song, and is one of my favorites. Peter Hook's bass, prominent throughout, harmonizes impeccably with Curtis' vocals.
(to riveroflethe) -- not only you are wrong, yr just completely wrong- (about the lyrics) you must be listening to another Joy Division song or something- eh, anyways this is their best song, thats basically it
@La Noctem no they are correct. In the Komakino live at Lyceum ballroom there are entirely diffrent lyrics. Maybe thats the version theyve been listening too. In my opinion that version is a lot better, rougher baseline, more powerful.

You mean when they were being produced by Martin Hannett? Don't know about New Order though, they suck without Ian Curtis.
