I think this one is pretty obvious. The singer is leaving his town, but he knows that he's leaving the people that care about him as well as the people that don't. So he says that no matter where he goes, he'll run into them eventually. Or, if you want to take the metaphorical route, he's saying that they'll always be with him, that he'll always "see them down the road".
