This song is about Zé Do Caixão, a brazilian horror character anglicized as Coffin Joe (although a more accurate and perhaps literal translation would be Joseph of the Coffin.). He is not very well-known outside of Brazil, apparently, but he's been the character of several cult horror movies since the early to mid 60's; movies which were pretty hardcore for that time, considering they depicted scenes of anthropophagia, necrophilia, rapes and brutal murders.
