Going to Spain Lyrics

it's heaven up here,
but it's heaven down there!
and you're gonna leave me.
now I don't care.

it's heaven outside,
but it's heaven indoors.
well, go on and leave me.
I don't care any more.

I hear the airplane coming!
I hear the airplane coming!
I hear the airplane coming, now,
it can't touch me.

I see you going up the little stair.
go on and board the plane,
I don't care. I,

I see you hold his hand.
I see you wave good-bye.
I don't know you anymore,
so I'm not going to cry, now,

I see the airplane coming!
I feel the airplane coming!
I hear the airplane coming, now,
it can't touch me.

i can relate more to this song than any other song i've ever heard in my entire life.

to me, it's about a relationship that is crumbling. The girl is most likely cheating on him (i see you hold his hand), and he knows it's over. He's been ready for it to be over for a while, or at least knew it was going to happen (i don't know you anymore, so i'm not going to cry now). She leaves him to travel, maybe she's coming back, maybe it's a one-way, but it doesn't matter. The narrator is so far detached from the girl he doesn't even care anymore.

I think it's more of the person trying to pretend they wont cry, trying to pretend they don't know them, trying to be strong. Then when they are alone they cry, and cry. I relate a lot.
