First off the lyrics in the chorus are: It's not like it's permanent

I get the idea that its about these people who are just going through all this shit, barely hanging on. And finally the girl in the song just decides she's going to stop playing all the games and be completely open. Hence, "She's taking off her clothes again, says 'let the whole world see.' She's cutting off her hair again, says, 'this is all of me"
And basicly, he's saying that she totally threw him for a 180. He's trying to convince himself that them being together is just a fling, nothing serious or permanent.
