super good song. how can no one comment on it? much better than bloc party's version.. well in it's own way i suppose. more smooth and enjoyable.. addictive
really good version of this song featured in the o.c
ya, addictive is a very good word for it. but i would not say 'better' 'cos we have to remember that without the orginal one it would not be this one. i like very much experiments with tempo in 'wha wha what wha what were we hoping for'. and this sometimes-funky beat.
I think Bloc Party said in a live gig that it's about Leeds United. If so it seems as relevant now as when it was written!!!
I don't think this version is better than Bloc Party's but it's different. And I like this version too. Nice lyrics.
this song is so beautiful...if it can be broke than it can be fixed/ if it can be fused the it can be split/ it's all under control...
Not as good as your all saying, But it is okay. I prefer the Bloc Party version
Leeds United? Really? That's funny when you think of the words in relation to a football club.
I think this song is about modern man and his relationship to the environment. Thinking no matter what we do to the sea, the earth, and the air, we can fix it. Believing we can control nuclear fusion. It seems to be saying that we are ambitious creatures and it is in our nature to want to conquer nature, but we are playing with the devil (so to speak). Probably should post this under Bloc Party, but I listen to the Tunng version more often.
