War Song (Album Version) Lyrics

The heat here makes me want to leave
I'll take a shot to ease the pain
Ash the parchment memories
Twenty seconds til' I fade

Chorus:
We've come this far
Not backing down
Can't stop it now
Fight ourselves another war
And I'm not leaving
Without admitting all our sins
One last thought before I die
To define our need to fight

Beyond a curtain masquerade
There's lead left buried with the names
If we knew we weren't coming back
Would all the answers be the same

Chorus

We've come this far (we've this far)((this far))
Not backing down (not backing down)((this far))
Can't stop it now (can't stop it now) ((not backing down))
Can't stop it now (can't stop it now) ((can't stop it now))
We've come this far ((this far)) ((can't stop it now))
Not backing down ((we've come this far))
We've come this far ((this far))
Not backing down ((we've come this far))

And I'm not leaving
Without admitting all our sins
One more song before I die
To define our need to fight

Okay these lyrics are all wrong. It's "The heat here makes me want to leave, I'll take a shot to ease the BURN, Ash the parchment memories, Twenty seconds 'till I TURN."

Also, "We'll fight ourselves another war" not "find ourselves another world". Hence the name "War song."

Also, "I'm not leaving without ADMITTING all our sins, One LAST THOUGHT before I die, DEFINE our need to fight."

Also, and this is minor, "BEYOND the curtain masquerade, THERE'S lead left buried with the names."

ok yeah the lyrics are messed up a little but it is

the heat here makes me want to leave I'll take a shot to ease the pain ash the parchment memories twenty seconds til' I fade

But the other parts of the song that starsfinallyexplode corrected are wrong on the lyrics above. It seems like the person who wrote them down heard the song and copied them down.

You would be correct mmusick. If you look at the date, these lyrics were submitted before the album came out last june, so there was no booklet to get the lyrics from. The only way to do it was to listen and try to write them down.
