Readymade Lyrics
Readymade, readymade
Steady as the rhythm rolls
Readymade, readymade
And this is how the story goes
I've gotta cousin making beats
Deep down in Arizona
We're gonna rocket to Ramone's
In the city of Pamona
And if I give to you my second sight
You got it
And if I stay the course I'll stay the night
Come get it
Readymade, readymade
Baby oughta celebrate
Readymade, readymade
And now it's time to deviate
I've gotta sister making babies
With a Black and Decker blow torch
We're gonna fop it all night
In the middle of the back porch
Readymade, readymade
Rockin' for the sake of slade
Readymade, readymade
Listen but don't be afraid
I've gotta brother making trouble
In the state of Caledonia
I wish I knew another way
But I'm gonna have to clone ya
Steady as the rhythm rolls
Readymade, readymade
And this is how the story goes
Deep down in Arizona
In the city of Pamona
You got it
And if I stay the course I'll stay the night
Come get it
Baby oughta celebrate
Readymade, readymade
And now it's time to deviate
With a Black and Decker blow torch
In the middle of the back porch
Rockin' for the sake of slade
Readymade, readymade
Listen but don't be afraid
In the state of Caledonia
But I'm gonna have to clone ya

"the worst song of this brilliant album"
wow, you must not know who john frusciante is. this song is badass. how can you not like the guitar in this song? crank this song up and just rock out
I don't agree with the first part of what you said but you must crank this song up and rock out to it!

These lyrics seem to have many errors...
One of the best songs of stadium arcadium, johns giutar work has improved heaps, you'll notice a lot of awesome riffs, solos, licks throughout the album and not just in this song
a great song, ur right, John's work is great on the album, and Flea still great as ever.
good work, but a few corrections on the lyrics...
readymade ready made, steady as a river 'ROLLS'
i gotta brother.... 'we're gonna rock it to Ramone's in the city of pamono'
'second sight' not sacred sigh
'baby oughta celebrate' not getting out to celebrate
'rockin' for the sake of slade not for the circus slave
'listen but dont be afraid' not tell them now the love to save
'caledonia' not california and 'but i'm gonna have to clone ya' not gonna let it all out...sedona
as i said, good try though

Awesome song. I Johns solo when AK tells him to clean it up: DOPE! I agree with the previous posters, john really stepped up on this albumm some amazing things he has done. Praise him we must.
I love the solo by John.. otherwise it's not a very good song. The word readymade is used too much.
I love this song, and it's fun to play. I think when Anthony tells him to clean it up, it's hilarious, and a good touch.
Great song.
AHEM...
Readymade readymade Steady as the RHYTHM rolls
and
its rocket not rock it
but... what is it about? especially this part:
"I got a sister makin' babies with a black and decker blowtorch "
@tx4x2x - I was wondering this too. It sounds like a drug reference. I’m not too familiar with the Ramones and a lot of this song appears to be about them - I wonder if he is describing a hallucination or a woman’s addiction to drugs.

Using a “black and decker blowtorch” to smoke crack or prepare heroin and “making babies” - using her body to pay for her fix.

Just a guess.

well.... we're gonna rocket to ramone's in the city of Pamona.
well anyways im lazy and im not gonna touch all the mistakes. i think this song is talking about someone whose family is all running off doing different things that are not all good,
"sister making babies with a black and decker blow torch"
and this guy doesnt want his last bro or sis to leave and do the same thing so he says i's gonna have to clone ya."
