Paint The Town Red

I think it's to do with a guy who has schizophrenia, his normal self is in love with girls, but this voice is telling him to kill them; that's who he is singing to.

He feels that he has to kill the voice inside him, which is why it says "I'm gonna give it to you, watch you die" followed later by "You wanna give it to me...watch me die."

Basically, he is going to kill himself because 'the voice' keeps making him kill people he falls in love with.

It sounds almost like a psychopath kind of guy who goes on a killing spree because of a girl who... dumped him, maybe? Girls would give him love and then dump him and he'd kill them, their blood "painting the town red." He feels that they've betrayed him and wants revenge ("Vengence in my heart").

It could also be that he feels almost that if anyone gives him love, he should kill them before he love them, too... But the "eighteenth girl in the world who ever gave you love" makes me iffy on that one. xD

Favourite line: "My revenge is a dish best served right fucking now!"

i think its about a guy who's trying to avenge a girl some other person murdered. it's pretty obvious because it says "Thinking of the girl you killed She was the eighteenth girl in the world.." it's in past tense and the threats he makes is in present tense.

it doesn't make sense if he's schizophrenic because in the lyrics he asks, "Think I give a fuck about a aliby?" which is sort of says i don't care if i get caught after i'm done with you.

later in the lyrics he sings, "Squeezin' off rounds with cold fingertips" i don't think a person trying to kill a voice in his head would shoot himself more than once.

I love this song so fucking much. Red is my favorite color. Yeah, I know that really has nothing to do with the song, but you know. I just thought everyone should know. It's a good color.

wow, i really agree with the schizophrenia thing. i never thought of it like that, but it makes a lot of sense. well either way, this song is AMAZING and i love the weird looks i get when i sing it O_O

efunkcow is the only person who actually makes sense. If you pay close attention to the actually words, you can follow who he is singing about and to who, and it isn't himself folks. The first verse sets it all up-Walking on traintracks Thinking of the girl you killed (you meaning someone else) She was the eighteenth girl in the world Who ever gave me (me, hmm. I think that would be him) love, love Vengence in my heart (Vengence. Fun. fun.) And in my hands, a gun, a gun, a gun Death wish three Motherfucker I'm comin' through your town (He's coming to get the sucker who killed the 18th girl who loved him.)
