Heroin Lyrics

Heroin

Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now

While you were walking round Powys Square
I was in Highgate, y'all know where
And you was wearing all my favourite clothes
Because they looked much better on you.

Your love brings me down like heroin
Be the hero in the end, in the end of the film
Your love brings me down like heroin
Be the hero in the end, in the end of the

Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now
Na-na-na-ni-ni-ni-now

When I come home you ask me why
I tell you the truth smacked up in a lie
All I said was all I'd say
It never got me anyway.

Your love brings me down like heroin

Cover art for Heroin lyrics by Wildhearts, The

This is a cover of a Dogs D'Amour song (I think) taken from Endless, Nameless. I think this song might about heroin...?

I like the line 'be the 'hero in' the end of the film'.

It's from Dogs D'Amour's debut album 'The State We're In' (to be pedantic, the original was spelled 'Heroine'). Bam from The Dogs D'Amour used to drum for Wildhearts.
