Against the World and Losing the Battle Lyrics

faith won't you come back home
and i don't even know when you left
faith you always seemed so strong
you always seemed to know what was best

it was us against the world
and the world was against us
now i fumble with my sword
now i stumble on backwards

faith i know i treated you wrong
i was suffering from a wondering eye
i settled on a lifeless drone
but i think about you all of the time

we were laughing at the crowd
and they were laughing back at us
i drew comfort from the sound
now it's quiet as a mouse

faith won't you come back home
i'm forgetting all the things that told me
of taking the bulls by the horns
better to be dead than be ignored, dear

oh my god, i've changed completely
since the last time she saw me
my god i've changed completely
since the last time she saw me

Cover art for Against the World and Losing the Battle lyrics by Madeline Adams

Ahhh! I was surprised to see Madeline's lyrics on here, and accurate too. I wondered about this, if she wrote it or if a man wrote it and she sang it. I bet she wrote it though. So beautiful sounding, I like Madeline a lot
